Amish Country

Pure and simple. That’s why the Amish love Lawrenceburg.

Lawrence County is home to the largest settlement of Old Order Amish in the South. It’s the most conservative branch of the Amish sect. That means no electricity, running water or gas engines (and no photos of people if you visit, please). The industrious community is a blessing for Lawrenceburg, providing handmade, artisan-quality products and homegrown produce for sale throughout the year. It’s a relaxing, interesting place to visit any time of the year.

Ike's Amish Depot and General Store

About

Ike's Amish Depot and General Store isn't just a store – it's a living museum, preserving the essence of simpler times.

🌾
With everything in the store coming from the 1950s or earlier, walking into the front door is like stepping back in time. The depot doesn't only serve delicious hand scooped ice cream and milkshakes, they also have a history of serving the Amish Community as they are a key source of transportation for Amish families who need to travel long distances by Greyhound bus. Ike's Amish Depot is the only Greyhound bus station that has a livery stable for Amish customers to keep their horse & buggy while they are away on their trips.
Discover the charm of yesteryears and capture timeless moments at Ike's Amish Depot and General Store!
